Speaker: Carter Reed

Carter was born and raised in Cody, Wyoming. After attending community college in Wyoming, Carter finished his undergraduate education at California State University, Long Beach. Throughout college, Carter competed in speech and debate. This inspired him to attend the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he competed in moot court and graduated with distinction in 2020. Afer a short time practicing civil law back in Wyoming, Carter came to KU in 2022 to pursue his passion of teaching. Carter’s primary interests are in political rhetoric and the human/constitutional rights abuses committed against Japanese Americans during their incarceration throughout World War II.
