Name: Notable Women of Heart Mountain
Date: February 24, 2024
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM MST
Event Description:
Heart Mountain Interpretive Center's second program focuses on notable women of Heart Mountain.

The mass confinement of Japanese Americans during WWII effectively reduced the identities of more than 120,000 people down to a stereotyped idea of their heritage. However, many found ways to push back. This presentation follows the stories of three women from the Heart Mountain camp who stepped forward as community leaders and advocates during and after WWII.

The Winter Program Series is an annual series of presentations that take place throughout January, February, and March. Check out our other events to see dates and descriptions for the other two programs.

All events in this series are free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated!
