Rick Fisher is a Bighorn Basin native who has been in the construction business for 25 years. Certified through the Allied Home Inspection School and is a member of the Home Inspection Foundation. With a degree in Education, Rick has traveled the world, and has built and remodeled houses from mud huts to estates.

An experienced certified home inspector with some construction experience may give you some peace of mind about your purchase. Besides the list above, there are a number of other things an inspector is looking for during an inspection. Electrical, structural, settling, mold, and drainage issues are a few of the things you may want to know about before you move in.

Most problems found in homes are typical of many homes. Some of those problems may just end up on a ''honey do list'' or they may be things that you want taken care of right away. The purpose of a home inspection in my opinion is not to prioritize the findings but to make them known.
